Xanthomonas Diagnostic Markers

A major part of the Comprehensive Phytopathogen Genomics Resource is the development of proof of concept diagnostic markers and protocols for several species.

We have created a set of species and pathovar specific diagnostic markers for Xanthomonas oryzae using a bioinformatics pipeline. A number of the marker candidates were validated in the wet lab against a large number of Xanthomonas species.

The color of the row and the validation code indicate the result of the validation testing:

WhiteNot Tested
RedDid not pass first test panel (PN).
YellowPassed first test panel, did not pass the second panel (PF).
GreenPassed first test panel and pased the second panel (PA).
